Ella's First Trip to San Antonio

Last weekend my Mom, my great-aunt, Ella and myself drove to San Antonio. My second cousin turned 50!
It was a fast trip, but fun. Ella had not met some of the people, so she was the center of attention (image that). She had a great time dancing with her cousin Oliva and looking at the donkey (BuckWheat) with Nana. Fun times!!!

Nana is 54!

August 19th my Mom(Nana) turned 54! WOW! Time sure does speed up the older you get. I can not believe this!
Ella had a great time eating some of Nana's yummy birthday cake. Ella got Nana a dove charm from James Avery, she loves it!

Ella is 15 months!

Wow! Time sure does fly. I can not believe Ella is 15 months. It seems just yesterday we were bringing her home. It is amazing how our life has changed in 15 months. I could not be any happier!!!

We had a very long and exhausting week and weekend. We buried Grandma on Wednesday (I miss you!!!) Lots of family were in town, that have not seen Ella, she had a blast! She is still tried from playing with all of her cousins. Saturday we spent time with my brothers girls (Paislee & Preslee) Ella had so much fun with them, I was beginning to think they were going to go home bald, Ella would not stop pulling their hair. She would get so excited. They treated her like a baby doll, carrying her around. It was so good to see them.
Just a few pics of Ella, Paislee, Preslee and my brother.

Locked Out

Well, I found out the hard way today that Ella can lock doors. I went out the door to the garage to put the trash can back in the garage. Proceeded to come back in the house and the door was LOCKED! I went across the street to Holly's to use her phone. My daddy was on his way with the key. I could see her through the window. I sat on the bench on the porch. I tried and tried to get her to unlock the door, but no luck. Daddy came and unlocked the door, Ella was okay (thank you Lord). Daddy called her "Miss Home Alone". Now we can laugh, but I was not happy at the time. I felt so helpless looking at her through the window and her wanting me to open the door. I learned a lesson today!!!!

Good Bye Grandma

My sweet, sweet grandma went to be with our Lord Saturday night. I will miss her very much. Although she had been very ill for some time, I was not ready for her to leave. Please pray for our family.
