1st Day of School

006

002

004

Yeah!!!

We made it through the first day of WEE School.

008

Owen didn’t cry Sad smileuntil I told him bye and Nana would be there to pick him up later.

012

By the time I was on the highway driving to work, my friend Karen, who is one of Ella’s teachers texted me to say that Owen was GREAT!

Ella criedSad smilea tiny bit at rest time…she isn’t much on taking naps anymore…they are not made to sleep, but do have to lay quietly.

014

011

I pray it gets easier and easier for ALL of us!

Owen is 2 years old!

027

Where in the world did 2 years go?  Owen turned 2 on Friday.

I left very early Friday morning for Women of Faith in Dallas, therefore I wasn’t here to celebrate the BIG day.

We will be celebrating soon.

Chris took him for his 2 year well exam.

He got 2 vaccines:

Hep B #2

Flu (it was the mist)

So only 1 shot Smile

He weighs 31 pounds (75th-98th percentile)

He is 36 1/4 inches (98th percentile)

His doctor said he is going to be VERY tall…we grow giants! Ha!

031

033

I just adore Owen’s little sweet face in this picture…. Miss Ella wanted to take a pic with her little brother.

Owen-

Words can not explain how much we love you!  You are such a tender hearted little man.

We thank the LORD for you every day!

I love you to the moon and back son!

Love-

Mommy

Soccer Practice

Ella had soccer practice for the first time last night.

002

Her team practiced last Wednesday night, but Ella had a tummy bug Sad smile

006

This is Ella’s first time to play any kind of sport.

I thought I had waited too long to register her, but thankfully there was a spot for her with the McKinney Soccer Association.

020

She had SO much fun!!!!!

021

The coaches (his name is Owen too) daughter is the little one hugging him…she is having a really hard time “sharing” her daddy with the other 5 girls.

Needless to say, she didn’t do much her daddy asked of her. Ha!

018

Owen practiced his soccer skills too.

009

And got some love from his daddy.

022

The coach gave all of the girls their very own ball.

Ella HAD to wrote her name on hers.

I really thought she was going to sleep with it last night.

We are very excited to watch her learn and play this Fall.

Sundaes on Sunday

Yesterday Ella & Owen met their teachers for the first time.

Their pre-school does a little meet and greet with ice cream sundaes.

I have been really worrying about how Owen would do (this being his first year of pre-school).

After yesterday, I feel SO much better, his teacher is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!

002

003

Ella will have an entire room of new friends, except one boy.

Out of 12 kids in the class, 9 of them are girls…good luck Mrs. Janet & Mrs. Karen!

005

007

009

My silly girl posing while the other kids are playing basketball…I think we (Chris & I) are in trouble!!

012

010

I pray they both have a great year.

This is the result of Nana watching the kids…

001

002

March 2011 (after being off for 18 months after the birth of Owen) I went back to work, therefore my mom (Nana) watches Ella & Owen.

Most days this is how tired they are when I get home.

If they want to walk all around the neighborhood, then that’s what Nana does.

I guess that’s what grandparents are for.

I’m SO very thankful they get to stay in our home and be watched by my mom.

Bedtime is usually not a fight at all…

Ella’s 4 year check-up

Chris took Ella for her 4 year well exam on July 27, 2011.

She weighs 47 pounds and is 42 1/4 inches tall.

On the growth chart she is 90% for weight and 95% for height.

She got 4 immunizations and 2 injections.

Polio

DTAP/TD

MMR

Varivax (Chickenpox)

2 were combined…thank goodness!!!!

Chris said she did FABULOUS, she cried for only a split second.

002

They give out cute little goodie bags for 4 year olds…so she was fine once she saw that.
