Christmas 2009 with the Nelson's

Sunday we drove to Chris's sisters to have Christmas with his side of the family. :)
Ella and Owen got lots of cute clothes and fun toys!!! Thank you Oma, Poppie, Aunt Shanny, Spencer & Connor!!!! We had a great time.

Owen is 4 months old!

Today our little man is 4 months old!!! He has really changed in 4 months, he has the sweetest personality. He is happy most of the time, unless he is hungry!
We have really enjoyed having him these last 4 months. He has been such a joy to our family.
We love you O.T.(Ella's nickname for him)this may stick forever????? She has everyone calling him this. HA!

Owen's first White Christmas

It actually snowed this year for Christmas!!!! Owen's 1st :)

Christmas Eve 2009

Thursday evening we had my family Christmas. It's always been tradition with my family to open gifts on Christmas Eve, this was when my grandparents were alive. We have continued to do this with my parents. Ella and Owen got so many neat toys and so, so many clothes. Ella got her "baby" bow and "baby" necklace she asked Santa for. She was VERY happy. We have been very blessed!!! Thank you all of ALL of our gifts!

My dad had a pretty bad fall the week before Christmas and broke his nose, lost ALOT of blood due to blood thinners and being stubborn, on top of all of that he was having some heart issues. He was admitted into the hospital on 12/19/09 and discharged on 12/24/09. He's not in the pics, because he looked pretty beat up, he was there...very weak and sore. :(

Christmas with cousins

Thursday morning we had Christmas with my brothers girls. Ella got a Play-Doh ice cream maker and Owen got a spin toy. The girls always have so much fun together.

These BOOTS are made for walking...

Ella has Uncle's(my brother)boots on. She loves to put other peoples shoes on! HA! :)

playdate

Ella and I went to a playdate this morning. While Owen stayed home with Daddy, it's just to cold to get him out. These are the only pictures I managed to take. There were about 10-15 moms and 20+ kids. Ella had a blast!! I had a good time talking with all the moms and eating good food. I hope we continue to do this each month. :)

1st & 3rd Christmas

This is Ella's 3rd Christmas and Owen's 1st. I started buying these ornaments for Ella her first Christmas and could not find any others I liked for Owen....so they have the same ornaments. I wrote their names on the back and saved the boxes and wrote their name on it too. If they want they can have them for their own tree some day or give them to their own children.

Drama Queen

Ella never ceases to stop making us laugh! :)
She has her Christmas night gown on, her red boots, and her Camp Rock sun shades. She is so funny the clothing and accessories she puts together. I think she is going to be a very high maintenance girl!!! HA!!

I heart potatoes

NEVER seen this one before. The other night we had baked potatoes for diner. Chris found this heart shaped potatoe in the bag. Of course Ella had to have this one. She thought it was so cute! :)

Santa Babies

Nana bought these cute outfits for the kids. They are their Christmas outfits, however Ella decided that she and Owen needed to "model" them. Aren't they the cutest?

Ella and I made this Santa plate when she was 16 months old. If you look real close, Santa's cheeks are Ella's hinny cheeks. HA! This was NOT my idea, but thought it was very cute. Ella will love me later in life for this "special" plate :)

The Story of CHRISTmas

My mom brought this to me today. This is my Christmas present, early. She decided to give it to me so I can enjoy it this year. I love it!!!! thank you mom :) This is the reason we have Christmas!!

Dear Santa...

Today we went to Stonebriar Mall in Frisco. The kids got there picture taken with Santa Claus. Ella was so excited to sit on his lap and tell him see wants a "baby" bow(bow & arrow) and a "baby" necklace. I just knew that she would NOT get near him once it came down to taking the picture. Boy, was I wrong, she went right up to him and jump in his lap with a smile from ear to ear and a twinkle in her eye!!! She even gave him a hug when she left :) Owen was amazed of all the lights and shiny things. They had a great time! It's so fun this time of the year with little ones.
