Ella's first day at Wee School

Ella's first day of Pre-School.
She did very well this morning when I dropped her off, she did not cry. :) I did better than I thought I would do. When I put her in her car seat I got a little teary eyed, but I knew I had to be strong for her.
When I went to pick her up, when she saw me she ran to me and got a tiny bit upset, but then was fine. Her teacher said she cried off and on during the day, but over all had a good day. She did not want to nap, so needless to say, she went to bed early. We will see how it goes on Wednesday. She said she did not want to go on Wednesday, but lately she likes to say "NO" to everything. :)

Ella and her baby brother

Yes, Yes, I know the Boppy cover is PINK. I have not had a chance to get a "boy" cover. I will do that ASAP. Sorry Owen!
Anyway, Ella is doing so well with her new brother. She is very much a mother hen.
Seeing them together is very surreal. It makes me sad that they grow so fast. Ella will be 2 1/2 in November...time flies by! Can't believe it, just seems like yesterday when I was taking care of her at this age. WOW!!!!!!

Owen Christopher.....

arrived August 26, 2009 @ 3:34PM. He weighed 8lbs 12oz and 21 inches. He is very healthy and very much a blessing to our family of 4 now! I was induced 8/26/09, starting at around 11:30AM.
Owen had his first appointment with his doctor today. He has lost down to 8lbs 5oz, but no worries. he should be back to 8.12 in two weeks. He did NOT even have to get poked again to check for jaundice!!!! :)
Ella is adjusting, she is very much a big helper, but gets very upset when he cries. Which leads to say, he only cries when he is hungry or needs his diaper changed. Such a sweet little guy!!!!!! We are very thankful and blessed.

Daddy's new truck

This one is for you Scott.

Chris came home with this monster last week! He really does not need it, and agrees, but he does work hard, so I guess it is justified.
Now we at least have one BIG vehicle. Ella calls it Daddy's BIG truck!!! She is too funny to watch saying this, she puts her arms up and her eyes get big as she says it. Too cute!!! :)

Sundaes on Sunday

Ella had her "Meet the Teacher" this afternoon. They had ice cream sundaes, and she painted a picture in her classroom. She was very excited to meet Ms. Kristen. Ella also got to meet some of her class mates. She seems so excited about school, I guess we will see next Monday how she does.

Fun with Oma, Aunt Shannon and cousins (Spencer & Connor)

Last weekend Chris's mom, sister and her boys come over to see us. We all had a fun time, Ella was very excited to see her cousins!

37 weeks yesterday (8/12/09)

Yesterday I had my weekly visit with my doc. She said no changes, which means I have not dilated AT ALL!!!! :(
I go back to see her next Tuesday, I really think I am going to talk to her about inducing at 39 weeks if nothing happens before then. I did not what to do this, but now that we are down to the wire, I am afraid of going into labor during the night. My fear of the night is, having to drag Ella out, then waiting on my mom to get to the hospital to get her. Just the thought of having to take her to the hospital at the time of labor, I want her to be there at some point to meet her baby brother, but at the "right time". It is so different planning all of this with a child.
More updates next week! :)

Sassy Flip-Flops

A friend of mine bought Ella these sassy little flip-flops. She LOVES them! I think we are going to be in trouble. Take a look for yourself.

Our Newest Addition....

No, it is not Owen. We found this precious little Pom Pom. We named her London, she is such a sweetie. London got to go to Wal-Mart with us today, only because we were not sure about leaving her in the house unattended and I was afraid she would dig out of the back yard. Not a very good idea to take a dog and a 2 year old into Wal-Mart. Needless to say, we bought her a crate. It even gets better, she is potty trained!!!!! At this point in time we have as many humans in our house as we do animals. This will change when Owen arrives. Ella likes her, but I think she maybe a little jealous. The cats, that is another story..Casper loves her, they play together. Stanley does NOT like her at all, he hides from her, when he sees her he growls and hisses at her. It is too funny!
Of course, if we see signs up regarding a lost dog or someone tells us there dog is missing, then we will give her back to her owner. We don't want to take someones dog. So, far no sign of anyone looking for her, she did not have a tag. Maybe we will get to keep her. She is a real cutie!!! :)
