Halloween Party, HoBo Stew & Trunk or Treat

This weekend Ella and I had a very busy "oh so Spooky" fun weekend. Chris is in Ohio hunting, so Ella and I were invited to many fun activities. A friend of ours had a Halloween Party Saturday evening (thanks for a GREAT party Christina). Ella had fun watching the children carve pumpkins, bob for apples and play the Wii. She seems to play with boys more often than not (get ready for the bars on the windows Daddy).
Sunday evening we went over to some friends and Ella got to pet a baby goat and lots others, then we went with them to their church for a HoBo Stew dinner and a Trunk or Treat. Ella had a blast thinking all the children where chasing her. Needless to say we had a very busy weekend and Ella was worn out.

No pics :( (Daddy took the camera) :(
Hopefully soon I will be getting the camera I have been wanting (hint, hint Chris).

Size 7 Shoes.

Ella is in a size 7 shoe now!!! I did not know this was big for a 17 month old, until my girlfriend told me her son (who will turn 3 in March) just grew to a size 8. I knew she would probably have big feet, she just comes by it honestly. I had no idea her feet would grow this quickly. WOW! She is growing too fast.

Fun Filled Weekend!!!

Good Times!!!

Saturday morning Ella and I went to my parents and my nieces came over to have a play date with Ella. They had a great time, they love to go look at the cows, donkeys and horses. Preslee (age 3) enjoys picking Ella up, Ella did not like that at all. Paislee(age 6) tends to me the little mama of them all. I enjoy these dates, watching Ella play with her cousins.

Saturday afternoon Nana, Chris, Ella and myself went to the Big Orange Pumpkin Patch in Celina. Ella had a good time, she loves, loves animals. She picked out her own pumpkin and gave it to a Longhorn. I thought the minute the cow started to eat her pumpkin she would have a melt down, but she did not, she watched the cow eat the pumpkin not saying a word.

Saturday evening Chris and I had dinner at Good Hues. This is were Chris proposed to me and we have gone back there every year, except the year I was pregnant with Ella, I was too sick to eat anything. We love Good Hues, if you have never been, you need to try it, great food! We had a great time. My mom watched Ella. Thanks Nana!

This weekend was full of precious memories.

17 Months

Ella is 17 months today! God has blessed us in many ways. Ella is the most adorable girl I know. She has really started to say many more words lately. Her way of saying goodbye is by blowing a kiss and saying MAHW. She is so funny. When she is told "it's night night time", she will go to her crib and wait to be put to bed. Love that!!! What a blessing. Chris and I having enjoying getting to know her these last 17 months and can't wait to learn much more.
I love you baby love!!!!

As you can tell from the pics, she loves to be outside and take a bath.

Hunter or Girly Girl???

Ella has decided she enjoys playing in my makeup. Chris says because she doesn't know better, "she is going to be a hunter." I guess we will have to wait and see. She does love to watch the hunting channel. Maybe she will be the best of both worlds. What ever she enjoys is okay with me (if it pleases our Lord)!

She makes our heart smile!!!!!!!!!!

Scottish Rite Hospital for Children

Ella had an appointment at Scottish Rite Monday. When she began to walk, I noticed that her left foot turned in just a bit. I told Ella's doctor and she completed her part of the application to Scottish Rite and told me to complete our part and mail it in. I did as she told me. The next week Ella received an appointment. WOW!!
Chris and I got so excited that they excepted Ella. I love Scottish Rite, when I worked in Pediatric Home Health, most of my patients and doctors there and they are WONDERFUL!!!!!
So anyway, Ella was evaluated by an Orthopedic nurse and she explained that this was very common, matter of fact, she normally will see about 600-800 children a year with this same problem. What happens, when the children are growing in mommy's tummy, the left leg and foot in folded underneath the right one
(usually). The bones are not exactly straight. She told us with time and growth the bones will grow and straighten out. This usually happens around 5-6 years of age. Over the years, research has been done, that the braces, casts, etc. have not been very helpful.
Chris and I are very thankful that there was is not any treatment that needed to be done.
Praise God!!!!!!
