Disney World 2010 {Day 3}

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We began our day at Animal Kingdom with Donald’s Safari breakfast at Tusker House…8AM.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The kids had such a good time meeting Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Daisy Duck and Goofy.

The characters and children marched around the restaurant while shaking tambourines and maracas.

Owen waved and was friendly from a distance. Ha!

 

 

 

 

 

 

The food was SO yummy.  They had the cutest Mickey Mouse waffles.

After breakfast, the guys went to get our Fast Pass for the safari.  While waiting for the safari, we went through an area kind of like a zoo.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now for the fun, very bumpy safari ride.  This is what we rode in, our driver was too funny and very informative.

This safari ride was AMAZING to me.  The animals were NOT in cages, but could not get to us or the other animals because of rocks, man made rocks, ravines, etc…you would have to see it to understand.  It was VERY interesting and I LOVED that the animals were NOT caged and were like in their very own environment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then we walked through another area with more animals.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We ate lunch, then watched a bird show.

 

   

 

 

 

 

Now off to Dino-Rama.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The kids waiting patiently for The Festival of the Lion King on stage.  Owen was fast asleep.  He had fallen at the Dino playground and scuffed his precious nose :(

                     

            

 

 

 

 

A man made version of Mt. Everest.  It is BEAUTIFUL!

 

Our kiddos were “OUT” at this point.

Carson and the guys rode a ride similar to The Roaring Rapids at Six Flags.  Carson LOVED it!!!

  

 

 

 

 

They got SOAKED!!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We were all worn out and went back to the resort to relax and go to bed fairly early.

All had a great time at Animal Kingdom.
