The Games Begin

Ella’s first soccer game was last Saturday (9.10.11).

 

Her team is called The Jelly Beans.

Chris & I are very proud of Ella…she is very confident on the soccer field.

She made the very first goal in last weeks game…and made 7-8 throughout the game.

Paw-paw (my dad) game to cheer her on…he was very proud too.

4 of the 6 girls on the team (2 were out of town).

We can’t until the game tomorrow…if weather permits…yay, it’s raining!!!! 

I will not be sad if the game gets cancelled.  We need rain!!

Proud Sister

Ella & Owen were playing in Ella’s room.  They came out, Ella said “look what I did to Owen!”

They were very proud of what they had accomplished.

Chris wasn’t so proud.

Women of Faith 2011

This past weekend I had the greatest opportunity to go to Women of Faith for the very first time!!!

We left from the church at 7:45AM Friday 8/26 (which was Owen’s 2nd birthday), and arrived at American Airlines around 8:30AM.

We returned Saturday evening…hearts changed.

My suite mates for the weekend.

Me, Emily, Karen & Lisa.

We all stayed in a room together Friday night…we stayed up until 2:45AM Saturday morning talking. 

We had SO much fun getting to know each other a bit better.

The praise team…these women were INCREDIABLE!!!!

I LOVE, LOVE her voice!!!

They showed clips from the show.

Brenda Warner (Kurt Warner’s wife..the NFL player)

She has an amazing testimony!! 

She was a US Marine, then had 2 children, her first born becoming legally blind and brain damage after an accident at 4 months old.

She became a nurse through all of his treatments.

Both of her parents lost their lives in a tornado in 1996.

I can’t wait to read her book:

Brenda said this is her God given talent….doing the splits. Ha!

Angie Smith will be speaking then.  I’m so excited to hear her story.

We have already registered.

I’m so thankful I got to go with an awesome group of women.

1st Day of School

Yeah!!!

We made it through the first day of WEE School.

Owen didn’t cry until I told him bye and Nana would be there to pick him up later.

By the time I was on the highway driving to work, my friend Karen, who is one of Ella’s teachers texted me to say that Owen was GREAT!

Ella crieda tiny bit at rest time…she isn’t much on taking naps anymore…they are not made to sleep, but do have to lay quietly.

I pray it gets easier and easier for ALL of us!

Owen is 2 years old!

Where in the world did 2 years go?  Owen turned 2 on Friday.

I left very early Friday morning for Women of Faith in Dallas, therefore I wasn’t here to celebrate the BIG day.

We will be celebrating soon.

Chris took him for his 2 year well exam.

He got 2 vaccines:

Hep B #2

Flu (it was the mist)

So only 1 shot

He weighs 31 pounds (75th-98th percentile)

He is 36 1/4 inches (98th percentile)

His doctor said he is going to be VERY tall…we grow giants! Ha!

I just adore Owen’s little sweet face in this picture…. Miss Ella wanted to take a pic with her little brother.

Soccer Practice

Ella had soccer practice for the first time last night.

Her team practiced last Wednesday night, but Ella had a tummy bug

This is Ella’s first time to play any kind of sport. 

I thought I had waited too long to register her, but thankfully there was a spot for her with the McKinney Soccer Association.

She had SO much fun!!!!!

The coaches (his name is Owen too) daughter is the little one hugging him…she is having a really hard time “sharing” her daddy with the other 5 girls. 

Needless to say, she didn’t do much her daddy asked of her. Ha!

Owen practiced his soccer skills too.

And got some love from his daddy.

The coach gave all of the girls their very own ball.

Ella HAD to wrote her name on hers.

I really thought she was going to sleep with it last night.

We are very excited to watch her learn and play this Fall.

Sundaes on Sunday

Yesterday Ella & Owen met their teachers for the first time.

Their pre-school does a little meet and greet with ice cream sundaes.

I have been really worrying about how Owen would do (this being his first year of pre-school). 

After yesterday, I feel SO much better, his teacher is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!

Ella will have an entire room of new friends, except one boy.

Out of 12 kids in the class, 9 of them are girls…good luck Mrs. Janet & Mrs. Karen!
